February Round-Up

February has been another rewarding month in the studio, with industry events, awards evenings, training sessions and ongoing project development keeping the momentum strong.

Earlier this month, several members of our team attended a McDonald’s Design Forum along with designers from other practices across the country, hosted at a recently completed pub refurbishment. It’s always great to collaborate with client teams and fellow designers, share insights, and review recent projects. Building on these discussions, we’ve been developing dining layouts in 3D, using axonometric drawings to test spatial arrangements and improve visual communication and customer experience. We were also very excited to join the global décor training for a new upcoming McDonald’s interiors concept. The scheme introduces a vibrant material palette and playful reinterpretation of familiar elements and we can’t wait to see it be brought to life over the next few months.

Project Updates

Over in care, we are pleased have to secured planning permission for a substantial rooftop solar panel installation at the Royal Star & Garter care home in Solihull, enhancing the building’s environmental performance. Works should start on site in May this year.

Award Events

Tracey and Ian attended the Education Property Awards 2026 in London. We’re incredibly proud that our Busy Bees, Bagshot project was shortlisted as a finalist for Interior Design Project of the Year! It was a fantastic evening celebrating excellence in the education sector and an opportunity to connect with others. Steven and Brian also enjoyed a brilliant afternoon at the Healthcare Design Awards, recognising how innovation and well-considered design continues to shape better healthcare environments. Huge congratulations to all the nominees and winners!
