Salveo Care, Wendover
The new Wendover Manor care home building has been developed to replace an old closed care home building, providing modern care accommodation for up to 53 residents.
Designed to support independence and nurture wellness
Wendover Manor is currently under construction, with the current programme aiming for completion in late Autumn 2026. Check our news pages for progress updates. We have worked with our client to create a fabulous new care home to replace the abandoned building on the site. Through close collaboration with the design team and Buckinghamshire’s Planning Authority, the proposals see a scheme, coming to life. One that is mindful of its surroundings, designed to respond to the local vernacular and takes advantage of it’s peaceful location and enclosure (by the vast expanses of trees) to create a calming setting for elderly care.

Preserving Local Vernacular and Enhancing Nature
The building has been designed with careful consideration of both materiality and nature to ensure the building sits well within its context. The site sits within the ‘zone of influence’ of the Chiltern Beechwood Special Area of Conservation; restricting occupation levels to match existing bedroom numbers. The landscape proposals nurture the natural elements in and around the vicinity, retaining and planting over 50 trees, whilst introducing new elements including a sensory garden and a meandering garden woodland path.
