October Round-Up

It’s been a busy and creative month here at Scurr Architects, with projects progressing across our residential, education, and care sectors.

We’re proud to have opened five new McDonald’s restaurants across the UK, in Larkhall, Bridgnorth, London King William Street, Norwich, and Ashford. It has been great to see how our collaboration has made these projects come to life. In the education sector, we’ve developed several new feasibility studies for Busy Bees nurseries, exploring how thoughtful design can support early years learning and play. Over in care, Wendover Manor Care Home is beginning to take shape on site, with the ground-floor concrete slab completed, resin anchors installed, and the steel frame due on site soon; a real milestone for the team.

McDonald’s AGM

Stephen and Nic also had the pleasure of attending an inspiring week at the McDonald’s AGM in Portugal, filled with energy, ideas, and ambition for the future. It was fantastic to see franchisees, suppliers, and the company all coming together with one shared vision.  As one of McDonald’s architectural partners, we’re proud to help bring that vision to life through thoughtful design and effective delivery.

“This year’s AGM was a great event. So good to catch up with some familiar faces and meet some new ones. Very excited to see what the future holds.”

Back in the studio we’ve been celebrating new beginnings as Paige re-joins us as an Architectural Technician after completing her degree at NTU; one of four other team members to return following their placements! Of course, October wouldn’t be complete without a little spooky fun; the team got into the Halloween spirit with some frightfully good costumes, which you can now spot on our new Instagram account @scurrarchitects.

And finally, we’re thrilled to share that our website is getting a major revamp. It’s been a while since its last update, and we can’t wait to reveal a fresh new look that better reflects who we are today. A big thank you to our photographer for capturing some fantastic shots of the team in action, keep your eyes peeled for the launch!
