David trained in both architecture and accountancy, a combination that has equipped him with a uniquely broad and balanced skillset, bringing together creative design thinking with strategic and commercial insight to his role of Scurr Architects’ Director. With over 35 years of experience, David has applied this blend of skills across a wide range of projects and has played a central role in co-leading the practice over the past 15 years. His particular expertise (and passion) lies in designing for care environments for the frail and elderly, alongside work in the hospitality, commercial, and petrol sectors. David’s depth of knowledge in planning, design, and project management continues to be a driving force within the firm.
When not in the office, you’ll likely find him at Vicarage Road, having made it his mission to witness every one of Watford’s 23 managerial spells under the current ownership, or out walking his flat-coated retrievers.
