Biography

Nic joined Scurr Architects in 2007 and became a Chartered Architect in 2009. With a focus on construction and delivery, Nic plays a leading role within the retail development team, overseeing site construction and fit-out packages, and guiding projects, from design through to completion, with precision and care. He has been instrumental in developing new design concepts for McDonald’s restaurants across the UK, including model buildings, implementation of new interior design schemes, and the re-visualisation of how sustainability can play a bigger role in fast-food design. A notable highlight includes leading our team behind the UK’s first net-zero carbon fast-food restaurant. Nic continues to sit on McDonald’s consultant panel for reducing carbon in new-build construction and remains deeply committed to driving forward the application of sustainability principles in the built environment.
Alongside his project work, Nic plays an active role in supporting the next generation of Architects through Scurr Architects’ mentoring programme, sharing his knowledge and experience with colleagues working towards their architecture qualifications.
